What We Do

CHIMCON (Australia) specializes in the inspection, design and forensic engineering of chimney/stack structures and operates internationally. We have all the latest technology to conduct inspections including the latest know-how and knowledge on designs and forensic engineering of small to tall (100-300m high) chimney/stack structures.
 

Where We Started

Ricky Coetzee, founder of CHIMCON, previously worked for a Power Utility Company (generating over 45 000 MW) at their Head office during 1984-1999 as their Civil Specialist responsible for all high structures, i.e. chimneys, cooling towers, etc. Thereafter, co-founded a company C3Specialists in 1999 operating in the Power and Industrial Engineering field. In 2009 Ricky relocated to Australia and founded CHIMCON, solely based on Chimneys/Stacks.

Ricky's Knowledge

Ricky as an international chimney specialist, holds a Master of Engineering degree in Structures and is a member of CICIND (an international body for chimney designers) and has presented technical papers on chimneys at CICIND Conferences. He has extensive knowledge on chimneys and has more than 30 years experience in this field on designs, design reviews, forensic, construction supervision and inspections on chimneys.

Ricky has more than 40 years experience in Power Station and Industrial Engineering and has extensive experience with regard to life enhancement studies, forensic engineering, power station & industrial engineering, chimneys, cooling towers and concrete technology.
